3 Ways to Prep Your Skin for Spring

1: Exfoliate & Hydrate

Skin is especially finicky when the weather gets funky. Use a gentle enzyme exfoliant to dissolve away dead skin, but be careful not to overdo it (once or twice a week at most!). Exfoliation will brighten and help the efficacy of your other products. Following up with a hydrating mask is particularly nourishing and rebalancing.

2: Use Antioxidants

Antioxidants are the key to getting your glow. They protect against the sun and environmental damage - the biggest culprits in premature aging! Using a daily Vitamin C serum will help brighten your skin, even out pigmentation, and protect against pollution. For skin that's sensitive to Vitamin C, I recommend using a nightly face oil with rosehip and sea buckthorn as a gentler (but just as effective!!) alternative.

3: APPLY SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY!

You'll be spending more time outside, so apply that sunscreen! It's the number one thing you can do to protect your skin. A good sunscreen is both UVA and UVB protective, and adds nutrients to your skin. Make sure it's mineral! Mineral sunscreens with an active ingredient of non-nano zinc create a physical barrier between your skin and the sun to protect from harmful rays.
